Capa interns Greta Frattalone and Emily Kwon sat down with Multi Me users from Airthrie Homes and Uniting Friends to find out how they use the platform and what they like about it.
Jasvinder Sangha
Airthrie Homes

Jasvinda is from Airthrie Homes, and started using Multi Me in 2023 when he found out about Multi Me from the manager of Airthrie Homes. After a little help getting it set up he found it quite easy to use, and finds Multi Me helpful in communicating with others. He says that: “It’s like a family within the group”, referring to how Multi Me can enable a wider communication with people, and wishes that it could reach out even further than his closed group of contacts, worldwide even!
Jasvinda likes seeing how it progresses people, and likes to use the platform to enable him to help motivate other people through his own Multi Me site – he likes to make them laugh, encouraging people through words and pictures. He believes that some things are hard to say in person, so prefers to use the Internet, through Multi Me, to do this. His closing thought was that Multi Me helps people to find friends who might be in the same situation as themselves.
I needed to get it set up which took a bit of help but then it’s easy afterwards. I like that people can be themselves, open up and they learn a lot from other people. It’s like a family within the group.
Julian Bell
Airthrie Homes

Julian needs some help in using Multi Me, but otherwise finds it helpful to record his thoughts and what he has been doing so that he can share it with others. He likes to see what other people have posted, such as pictures, and what they have been writing. Julian has used it for recording activities, such as when they organise football and take photographs of that event. He also uses it as a diary to record events that have occurred at weekends, and has recorded a recent holiday that was organised by Airthrie Homes.
I like the pictures on there, what people have and different activities. But also I like to see the writing as well on it, what people write in.
Stacey Adams
Airthrie Homes

Stacey finds Multi Me easy to use, and has used it to express her feelings and to upload pictures on her site, particularly of herself.
She uses Multi Me to keep in contact with other people from Airthrie Homes, though not with her immediate family.
I started using Multi Me and I do need help with it, but I’m gradually learning.I like downloading the pictures on there.
Johan Francis
Uniting Friends

Johan has been using Multi Me for about five years, and uses it as a diary to record what he has been doing during the day. He posts a lot on his daily diary and uses the calendar function to include information on the afternoon and evening events at Uniting Friends for others to see. Johan enjoys music and does some DJing, so he likes to share his images and sounds with others. He has found Multi Me easy to use and uses it to chat with friends, and regularly makes recordings of what he has been doing so that this can be shared with his family. Mostly, he uses Multi Me to keep in touch with his circle of friends.
I started using Multi Me to make nice friends. I take pictures.I do it every week, it’s very easy to use. I talk to my friends. I talk to them on Multi Me.
Walter Anthony Wisbey
Uniting Friends

Tony started using Multi Me about three years ago whilst at Uniting Friends, and uses it to post messages and get the latest updates from other members. He keeps in contact with other members of Uniting Friends using Multi Me, and likes the way it can be kept private and only shared with designated friends.
